As an academic reviewer, it is important to know that the mind can jump to conclusions without being fully aware of it. In order to ensure the integrity of one's work and focus on the quality of the research, it is therefore essential to challenge these unconscious biases.
This is why the AOJM, the UNIL and the EPFL wanted to join forces to raise awareness among academic markers of these different biases with the help of four concrete examples. These sequences propose tools to detect and avoid them.
In terms of aesthetics, we chose to combine a multitude of different sources, including photography, in order to anchor the message in reality, while leaving room for everyone's imagination. When necessary, graphic and typographic elements were used to support the visuals and facilitate the understanding of more complex concepts.
